Newest TRIO of Patterns RELEASED
The trio of balloon dogs can be purchased as stand-alone patterns, as well as kits for each! Come see us at the next quilt show! We love inspiring the next world of art quilters!
BARNUM
Barnum was created with the idea of circus art, simple shapes. and a very well known silhouette! We designed him to have the look of a 3D balloon dog, while being made of collaged fabric! The shadows and highlights create the illusion of depth and make him look like an actual balloon animal.
BAILEY
After designing Barnum, we decided to create another balloon dog, and this time in the shape of a poodle! We used the same techniques, and ended up with this gorgeous poodle balloon dog!
PHINEAS
Phineas was the third balloon dog created! We seem to enjoy creating in groups of 3……and this set was itching for a 3rd balloon dog! We added a dachshund to the mix!

Any of the below patterns are available for purchase! Cosmos and Thor are raw edge applique patterns and both have kits available!
Changing Gears is a pattern and quilt I made to honor my recent retirement from my 9-5 job
CHANGING GEARS
Changing Gears is the quilt i made as well as designed as soon as i retired. I worked in the IT industry for 40+ years, and did not have loads of time to put towards pattern design as well as art creation. The ending of my 9-5 job actually freed me up to be able to dive deep into my own art, and design my first pieced pattern! I saw this panel that made me see gears turning and change happening, thus this being the quilt i made upon retiring. We named it “Changing Gears” as it embodies the idea of gears spinning, and beauty breaking through. We hope this relates to anyone going through a change in their life (good or bad)…and allows you to use your change to guide you through the art of creating your very own “Changing Gears” quilt!
**this pattern is ONLY available in a kit as i have a limited number of panels available
COSMOS
I have always been fascinated with the astrology. I was able to use light, medium, and dark fabrics to create depth and make this quilt look like a literal solar system.
THOR
Thor is my eldest daughter’s first collage pattern that she has designed, and was actually the way she taught herself how to do collage art! way back in 2018, I told her that she had to make a collage quilt in order to help teach collage quilting…..and instead of using an already made pattern, she designed this! The pattern has FINALLY been written up and is ready to be shared with the world.

The Big Three
Here are some quilts that inspired me to get into pattern design! I do a wide variety of art quilting. Threadz is all about using fabric to create works of art. ENJOY!
KOKO
Koko was a female gorilla born at the San Francisco zoo on July 4th, 1971. That just so happens to be the year my family and I left California. Koko stands for “firework child,” which seemed all too perfect for my mystical rendition of a gorilla.
GLORIA
Gloria was created in honor of the many births of hippos throughout zoos from Denver all the way to Florida. My youngest daughter came up with the name, inspired by Madagascar.
NAJIN & FATU
Najin and Fatu are a mother and daughter duo. They are the LAST remaining Northern White Rhinos in the world. Sudan, the only male and father to Najin died in 2018.
